about

In the fall of 2019 we began recording the Cornelius Cardew Treatise. The magnitude of this work is legendary, it is 193 pages in length. Cardew never articulated what the symbols in the score represent, nor did he dictate the instrumentation. The performers are allowed to interpret the score as they see appropriate and use whatever instrument(s) they desire. We decided to record it using synthesizers and the only restriction we placed on ourselves was to limit each page to 5 minutes. Please enjoy!
